Fittingly, as I write this post, it's pouring rain and storming in Missoula. Montana has had a very wet summer, which Kelly, Dustin and I also experienced firsthand during their East Glacier elopement at Lake Josephine. (Though I can't say I'm complaining - this means we've also had little-to-no wildfires and their subsequent smoke to deal with, so I'm all for some soggy weather that's devoid of lightning strikes.) As soon as we met up at the trailhead the rain began, but they weren't going to let a few (or many) raindrops deter them. Melisa + Zack :: Dutton Montana Farm Rock the Dress Portraits
It's no secret that I seriously have a soft spot in my heart for rock the dress sessions because these sessions tend to allow us to get a little more creative with what we can do outside of the wedding day. And when rock the dress sessions include horses, chickens, and dogs (not to mention an awesome bride and groom), then, oh yes, sign me up for the fun! Melisa and Zack's Dutton Montana farm rock the dress portraits were the absolute epitome of aforementioned fun, and I'm pretty certain I did not stop smiling for one second of our time as we made these images together. Melisa + Zack :: Dutton Montana Farm Wedding
I was so excited to see Melisa and Zack again for their Dutton Montana farm wedding since we'd had such a great time making their engagement photos there just about a year prior. Melisa was beaming as she got ready for the day, and Zack was eager to see his bride for their first look. As they both caught a glimpse of each other for the first time, their happiness and grins were so sweet to witness. Not to be outdone, Gyspy (one of their dogs) decided to join in on the fun, too! It wasn't long before it was time for the ceremony to start. The sun was shining brightly in the sky, puffy clouds breaking up the uninterrupted blue, birds flitted ...
Brayden :: Lolo Montana Newborn Images
I recently photographed Becka and Stephan's maternity photos, so I was beyond excited to get to meet little mister Brayden to make his Lolo Montana newborn images - and he did fabulously during his session at only 13 days new! He did a most excellent job of demonstrating his eating, snuggling, yelling and finger-grabbing abilities and had us all enraptured with his sweet little face and adorable tiny fingers and toes. Even Daisy the family dog got to pop in for a few images too - I think Brayden is a dog-whisperer at heart! One of the most amazing things about newborn sessions is getting to watch my past couples turn into parents ...
