The weather here in Montana has been a little on the can’t-make-up-its-mind side of things lately…but that is one of the many things that I love about this state. Wait 15 minutes and you’ve got yourself a whole different feel to the day. Hannah, Joe and I were all kind of crossing our fingers that the date we had picked for the engagement session would be sunny and gorgeous, but alas. Gray skies loomed overhead. However, we decided to go for it anyway.

And can I say just how flipping glad I am that we did that? Not only did we get the benefit of the super saturated colors overcast days provide, but we happened to stumble upon a giant, gorgeous rainbow! (Not to mention how lush and green everything is right now.) I was so excited I couldn’t really speak properly (Joe and Hannah can verify that for you!), and we shot as quickly as we could since this rainbow (on occasion DOUBLE rainbow) was a fleeting thing of beauty.

Suffice it to say, there were lots of smiles and laughs and just plain fun during their session – can’t wait for 2014, you two! Maybe we’ll get another rainbow for you in a year? :) Can’t wait!
