I’m fully aware that my new photography website design is probably more exciting for me than it is for you, but I still wanted to share. Why? It’s exactly because of you that I can refresh my look and brand – your beautiful moments are featured prominently on my new site as are (just a smattering) of your truly heartfelt and so-very-much-appreciated love notes. So thank you! (P.S. This, that you’re reading right now, is my blog. The website is a separate entity.)

Kristine Paulsen Photography New Website Design

This is a long time coming, and something I’ve been wanting to do for what feels like eons, but have just never had the time to tackle. I’ve busted my rear making this happen since, yes, yours truly does all the web design. I’m just very happy to share because it’s a lot of work to get a website re-made. (I like to work with old fashioned pen and paper, so there are PAGES of sketched mockups for this design, some coding sleuthing I had to do, and I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent updating the ol’ portfolio and going through thousands and thousands of photos of all you wonderful folks! – that was a pleasant treat!).

I think the new design fits my aesthetics more (the lilac and green colors are inspired by, well, lilacs, and also by the different shades the mountains take as the light changes throughout the day and evening). The goal is that it’ll be easier to navigate, and will also be mobile compatible very soon is now mobile compatible. However, it is still best-viewed via a regular computer to get the full experience (and large view of the photos!).

The website’s also got an updated About Me section so you can get a better idea of who I am. (Spoiler Alert: if you want to see some wacky dancing, that’s where to find it.) And it’s just overall much cleaner, and I think, much prettier.

The new site also features a big ol’ FAQ section, so if you’ve got questions, that page will hopefully answer a lot of them.

But it’s more fun to start looking on your own, right? Hop on over there to check it out yourself and see if you recognize anyone you know. :)

Cheers!

-Kristine
