I woke up this morning, super excited to see snow on the ground. Even if it wasn’t much, I can’t help but become a little giddy over the first snow of the season. I was especially happy about it because I had been planning on doing a location scout for a photo session I have coming up. I adore road trips. Especially the snowy road trips (as long as it’s not *too* dangerous to drive). There’s something that’s just magical about driving amidst the tall, snow-laden pines…it’s almost as if you’re the only person in the world.<\/p>\n

I stopped to scope out a spot I thought might be great for the shoot. And I became totally caught up in how serene, calm and quiet it was. No traffic sounds. No people. Just me. And the snow. And the occasional soft whistle of a bird’s wing through the sky. And the silence. Ohhh, the silence. It was so wonderful. I soaked it up, let it wash through my brain, and became inspired by the landscape. All the tones were muted and soft today. Cool grays and blues. The occasional brown to warm things up. I’m not a landscape photographer by any means, but I was feeling it today. And I thought I’d share what I saw.<\/p>\n
