The first time I met Kristi and Derek was in St. Paul, Minnesota, after chatting with Kristi on the phone. I was in the area, and we thought it’d be great to get together at a local restaurant (Cafe Latte, for any of you midwesterners out there – one of my old haunts from when I lived in the twin cities), and it was so nice chatting with them over dinner and getting to know one another, and I knew we’d have a great time together at their wedding.<\/p>\n

Which of course we did! The day started out a bit smoky, but much to Kristi’s delight, it cleared up and made way for a pretty darn awesome backdrop for their wonderful ceremony. Missoula Mayor John Engen officiated and had everyone chuckling. Kristi and Derek sealed their vows with a kiss and had a great time mingling with their many friends and family who joined them in celebrating such a special day.<\/p>\n

Folks kicked up their heels on the dance floor and had a great time laughing and dancing – everything from good ol’ Michael Jackson to the hokey pokey.<\/p>\n

Thanks again, Kristi and Derek for inviting me to photograph such a beautiful day celebrating you both! It was such a pleasure, and I had a blast – you’ve got such sweet friends and family, and I’m delighted that I got to spend a bit more time with you both. Here’s to a long life full of perfectly balanced sunny and overcast days. :) And you’re always welcome to come visit Flash whenever you’re in town. :)<\/p>\n
